Rob Carrillo
Owner & Director
Rob Carrillo is the Owner and Director of Rounding 1st Baseball Academy. He comes with a vast resume in both baseball and recreation programming.
As a coach, Rob spent 3 seasons as the Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Emerson College. In the 2023 season the Emerson Pitching staff set program records in almost every pitching category under his leadership. He also coached at the Community College of Rhode Island in 2019 where the CCRI Knights went to the NJCAA College World Series and finished 5th in the National Rankings with 2 All-Americans. He also coached for several premier club baseball organizations throughout New England. Rob specializes in pitching and day-to-day programming for his athletes at the college level.
As as player, Rob played professional baseball for the New England Knockouts in the Frontier League. Rob spent his college career at Southern New Hampshire University (Division 2) and UMASS Dartmouth (Division 3), where he spent 2 years as the teams captain. He had the opportunity to represents UMASS Dartmouth playing for the Keene Swamp Bats in the NECBL and the North Shore Navigators and Martha’s Vineyard Sharks in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. He is also an alumni of Bishop Fenwick High School.
As Director of Rounding 1st Baseball Academy, Rob oversees curriculum for all programs and sessions, trains all of our coaches to uphold the Rounding 1st Baseball Academy standard, and handles all communications with participants.

Adam Horowitz
South Shore Program Coordinator
Adam Horowitz is the South Shore Program Coordinator for Rounding 1st Baseball Academy. He joins Rounding 1st with a large variety of coaching experience from youth to the Division 1 level. Adam is currently a Graduate Assistant Baseball Coach at Bryant University (Division 1). In the summer of 2022, he worked with some of the nations best college players, MLB prospects, and a handful of future MLB stars while working for the Cape Cod Baseball League as the Coaching Development Intern for the Warhead Gatemen.
As a player, Adam spent all four years of his college career at UMASS Dartmouth (Division 3) where he served as the team's captain for 2 years. Adam developed his role as a prominent bullpen pitcher and middle infielder but did not shy away from trying new positions. Adam's athleticism contributed to him being a great utility player over his career playing wherever the team needed him. Adam took pride in leading by example from day 1 of his freshman year and was admired by coaches and teammates as a great leader and teammate throughout his whole college career.
Adam went viral in the baseball world being featured on ESPN, MLB Network, and Several other famous baseball platforms for his infamous 'Hidden Ball” pitch that received millions of views over social media.
Cory Bright
Infield/Outfield/Hitting Coach
Cory Bright is an all around great coach working with infielders, outfielders, and hitters for Rounding 1st Baseball. Cory is current college baseball player and Graduate Student at Bentley University at the Division 2 level. He will be completing his college baseball career following graduation in Spring 2024. Cory has had success at all infield positions for Bentley where he has contributed for 4 years as a starter at 1st Base, 2nd Base, Shortstop, and 3rd Base. With a vast playing resume as an elite infielder and hitter, Cory will oversee all hitting plans for all of our programs as well as contribute to planning for our infielders.
Cory has represented his university in the Intercity League for the past 4 summers, where he has been one of the leagues most feared hitters while playing for his hometown with the Melrose Americans. Cory is an alumni of Bishop Fenwick and the Winchendon School (post-graduate high school).
Cory has interest in becoming a college baseball coach after he graduates college and he will be a great addition to whoever hires him.
Frank Celona
Catching/Hitting Coach
Frank Celona is a proud staff member and coach of Rounding 1st. Frank also serves at an Assistant Coach at UMASS Dartmouth where he has spent the past 2 seasons. Frank specializes in hitting and catching at the college level.
Frank spent his college career at Franklin Pierce University (Division 2) and at UMASS Dartmouth (Division 3). Frank represented his school playing for the Boynton Beach Buccaneers in the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League. Frank is an alumni of Malden Catholic High School and has a very strong baseball resume as a player and coach for several of the top club baseball teams in the country as well as a tournament coordinator for 3Step Sports.

Conor Hanlon
Outfield/Hitting Coach
Conor Hanlon is one of our hitting specialists at Rounding 1st. He is currently coaching college baseball is his first season as an assistant coach at Salem State University where he primarily works with Outfielders and Hitters.
Conor’s great hitting resume from his playing days at Curry College make him an asset to Rounding 1st. He served as the Curry Varsity Baseball Team Captain during his senior season and had over 200 career at bats, a handful of home runs and RBI, and a high career slugging percentage. Hanlon spent his summers in college playing for the Malden Mad Dogs in the Inter City League and is still a current player for them.
Conor is an alumni of Beverly High School.
